HINTS AND TIPS FOR MEASURING AND FITTING YOUR NEW DOORS
TIPS FOR MEASURING YOUR DOORS
Always measure the door, not the cabinet. The doors are often a slightly different size.
Measure the door from the back to avoid any patterning on the door.
Record your measurements in millimetres to give an accurate sizing.
Measure your hinge holes from the top and bottom edges of your doors. For the top hinge hole measure down from the top of the door. For the bottom hinge hole measure up from the bottom of your door. Measure to the centre of the hinge hole.
Check your measurements carefully. As the saying goes, measure twice, cut once!
HOW TO FIT YOUR DOORS
Remove the old doors by unscrewing or un-clipping the hinges. Unclip the bottom hinge first.
Once the door is removed, unscrew the arm of the hinge from the old doors.
Fit the arm of the hinge to the new door, making sure it sits at a right angle.
Hold the new door up to the cabinet, and attached the top hinge.
If the doors don't quite sit level, you may be able to adjust your hinges.
HOW TO FIT YOUR DRAWERS
There are a number of different methods of attaching a drawer front. The simplest way is to record how the old drawer came off, and to attached the new drawer front in the same manner.
HOW TO FIT YOUR HANDLES
When fitting handles, we strongly recommend a handle drilling jig. This device will line up the holes in the same place on each door.
Always drill from the front of the door.
